10/6/14: U.S. District Court

We were previously lead to believe that in order to file a lawsuit in U.S. District Court, legal representation was necessary. On the deadline date to file, my Mom was informed she could file and represent herself, and that she could apply to have filing fees waived due to financial hardship. I am proud to announce that she both filed independently and was granted waived fees. Then, the U.S. Department of Justice (who have deep pockets filled with tax dollars) objected to the waiving of fees (charged to a single mother whose employer cost her over one hundred thousand dollars.) The Department of Justice then petitioned U.S. District Court to throw out my Mom’s case, denying her day in court. We are waiting for U.S. District Court to provide a ruling to proceed with my Mom’s lawsuit.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

5/6/14: Outrage for Racist Comments

As almost everyone has heard by now, LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling has come

under fire for racist comments he made in a private conversation. He has been fined $2.5 million and barred from the NBA. Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, tweeted a picture of the NBA Constitution with the caption, "it exists for a reason."

If there is this much anger for a racist comment made by a business owner, then surely sexist comments made by a sworn supervisory officer to a suboordinate, in addition to years of harassment and retaliation, should incur the same results.

The US CBP Code of Conduct exists for a reason.

5/31/13: Arizona mom accused of smuggling pot released by Mexican authorities

After proving her innocence with surveillance video, Yanira Maldonado is home. Her 9 day ordeal became a national story.

My mom has been captive of the DHS for 3+ years, and we have proved their wrongdoings through Internal Affairs sworn statements, books worth of documentation, and an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission hearing.

This needs national attention immediately.

5/28/13: New Rutgers coach accused of berating former players

The replacement for the abusive Rutgers basketball coach is being accused of berating her former players, calling them "whores" "alcoholics" and "mentally disabled." My mother's abusive manager was proven to have called her a whore multiple times, with 3 years of continuing harassment and retaliation on top of that. Where is our news story?

5/15/13: Obama makes statement on IRS discrimination of conservative groups

“The misconduct that it uncovered is inexcusable. It’s inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency, but especially in the IRS.”

Why is inexcusable behavior being tolerated in the Department of Homeland Security?

House Speaker John Boehner: "There are laws in place to prevent this type of (IRS targeting) abuse, someone made a conscious decision to harass.... I think we need to know who they are, whether they violated the law. Clearly someone violated the law."

"And it's not a controversy that will dissipate after heads roll at the IRS or the White House," Boehner warned. "My question isn't about who's going to resign, my question is about who's going to jail over this scandal."

5/14/13: Obama: “no place for it,” “held fully accountable,” “requires absolute integrity”

"If in fact IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that have been reported on and were intentionally targeting conservative groups, then that's outrageous. And there's no place for it,"

"And they have to be held fully accountable. Because the IRS as an independent agency requires absolute integrity, and people have to have confidence that they're ... applying the laws in a nonpartisan way."

No one has held my mom's transgressors accountable in any way. There is no place for this discrimination and hate.
